On 16 and 17 March, Dr. Rhys Evans and Johan Barstadt from Høgskulen for grøn utvikling shared with us their knowledge of social economy and supporting local development in agricultural areas.
Thanks to the project "Conservation and restoration of the fourteenth-century castle in Lidzbark Warmiński – pearls of Gothic architecture in Poland – iii stage" we could benefit from their almost 30 years of experience in the field of social economy and supporting local development in agricultural areas.
Day one is to look for answers to the questions: What is a local community? How to develop its potential? How to make good use of cultural heritage? How to cope in times when the economy is based on satisfying needs and consumption? In addition, we practiced, creating business models based on local resources. The museologists left their daily tracks of museum work.
The second day was marked by management. Governance understood not as governance, but as dialogue and interaction between stakeholders. We practiced Dugnad building a sense of community of a group working out a problem, considered the differences between traditional and lateral/creative thinking, and moved from SWAT management to PACO.
The training was carried out thanks to the project "Conservation and restoration of the fourteenth-century castle in Lidzbark Warmiński — pearls of Gothic architecture in Poland — III stage" implemented from the funds of: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA funds, Co-financed from the state budget and funds of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Co-financed by the local government of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
Together we work for a Europe that is green, competitive and inclusive.
