On the coming Thursday, 18 December 2014, the museum “Time Machine” will move us to Lidzbark Warmiński. The “Lidzbark Time Machine” events will be an excellent opportunity for talks on the castle of the Bishops of Warmia and the events that have taken place there. Three events – in December 2014, January and March 2015, are components of the project “Conservation and restoration of the 14th c. castle in Lidzbark Warmiński – a pearl of gothic architecture in Poland – stage II” implemented thanks to the support provided from the Norway Grants and the EEA funds originating from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, as well as the domestic funds.
The meeting of 18 December will be entitled: “From a wooden settlement to the immense castle – how the castle of Lidzbark was built…” It will be devoted to the phenomenon of the Lidzbark castle, its construction history and inspirations that may be linked to it.
Dr Hab. Jan Gancewski from the UWM in Olsztyn will be the speaker during the first “Lidzbark Time Machine” event. Beata Błażejewicz-Holzhey from the Museum in Lidzbark Warmiński and Marek Barański, a poet and journalist of the "Gazeta Olsztyńska" will take part in the discussion.
