The solemn signing of the contract for subsidising the project took place in the Grand Refectory of the Lidzbark Castle on 5 May 2014. Director Elżbieta Jelińska signed the contract for the Museum of Warmia and Mazury. Acting minister, secretary of state at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Piotr Żuchowski represented the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The Marshal of the Voivodship, Jacek Protas, Mayor of the County of Lidzbark Warmiński, Jan Harhaj and Mayor of Lidzbark Warmiński, Artur Wajs also attended the contract signing ceremony. The ceremony offered a perfect opportunity to talk about the potential of the castle of the Bishops of Warmia in Lidzbark and to recapitulate the revitalisation works completed, as well as the plans for the future.
